Monthly Moments: December

Hi Pals,
Thanks for checking in on my December.

December was a bit of a long month for me and I guess that’s to be expected because it really has a lot in it. You’ve got the holiday period, things to organise, places to go and everyone’s scrambling to get gifts and plan everything out.

Check out my favourite December moments below!
Previous Moments: November, October or September

What I’ve been doing:

  • I had my work Christmas party which had some lovely decorations, photo ops and a photo booth. I managed to sneak in two of my friends as well! We later checked out the Julian Opie exhibition at the NGV. I later went out for dinner with a pal for her birthday.
  • I spent Christmas day in Singapore with my bestie gal pal Adair in Singapore. I watched Rich Crazy Asians on my flight back which had me seeing places we’d been to! We walked around the Marina Bay Sands area only and did a bit of a pub-crawl.
  • I then flew onto Scotland to surprise a good friend for her birthday and spend new years with her. We checked out the Fairy Pools in Isle of Sky (check a blog post on it here by Kevin&Amanda), The Dalwhinnie Distillery (check an amazing post here on it) and then New Years in Edinburgh.

I really was just in Singapore, Scotland and England to see some friends so I didn’t document my travels nor take copious amounts of photos.

What I’ve Been Eating, Reading, Watching and Listening to.

🍳 –I’ve been super into making Buddha bowls this week. Check here to see some of the ’30 best buddha bowl recipes.
📕-I started and have not finished Salamander. I am sure it’s a very good book, I’m just not appreciating it enough. I’m not devoting time to it. I’m still going to class it as a 2018 read.
📺 –I watched You (2018) this month which stars Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl), Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars) and Elizabeth Lail (Once Upon a time) on Netflix.  It’s based on the book by the same title by Caroline Kepners. Joe (Badgley) starts to fall in love with Beck (Lail) after she comes into his bookstore. From a fleeting moment, Joe starts to follow Beck until their lives start to intertwine. I watched it on my flights and I was obsessed!
🎧 –I listened to The Teachers Pet, by The Australian. It covers the disappearance of Lyn Dawson who left behind her two children. It covers family, wrong relationships and what story was left behind. It was very biased and one-sided which I don’t like – but very well researched.

What have you been up to this month? Have any suggestions?
Let me know below!

As always, stay cool.
– Sarah.
