H I R O S H I M A

Hi Pals,
I was recently able to return to Hiroshima after winning a competition for free flights with Japan Airlines. They’ve just released a new direct route from Melbourne – Tokyo and believe me, it was one of the best flights I’ve taken. A little care package, snacks, decent food and a range of entertainment options (opinion my own).
Last time I was in Japan I wasn’t able to make it to a few places in Hiroshima or Miyajima (at all) due to lack of time and opting to check out Bunny Island instead. This time around, I was ready to have a full two days doing this area.

Osaka: The Cup Noodle Museum

Hi Pals,

If you’ve ever been to Osaka and wanted to get off the beaten path as they say, you’ve probably heard of the Instant Ramen Museum. Located in Ikeda, (a town which loves the Wombat, a native Australian marsupial who has been successfully bread in the The Satsukiyama Zoo) the Instant Ramen Museum makes a great break for something a bit hands on!

So, Here’s all I learnt and did at the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum

OSAKA

Hiya Pals,
Let’s talk all things Osaka.
Osaka is the second largest metropolitan area, making it busy,  busy, busy! Apart from the hustle and bustle, you’ll find castles, temples and gardens to get away from it all.
This post is made up of a visit in November 2017 and July 2018 (which explains the change of outfits!) Originally I’d only checked out Osaka for a day and when I returned I had 4 days here. I believe you should give Osaka a bit more time.

KYOTO

Hiya Pals,
Let’s talk all things Kyoto.
Kyoto has such a history of traditionalism in Japan, formerly the capital it’s filled with shrines, temples, gardens and palaces. This is one of the main reasons we chose Kyoto as a place to base ourselves for day trips.
