I feel like I just started August and now it’s already October???
I ended my month spending time in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia with some of my favourite friends – so look out for my upcoming post on that later.
I had dinner with my favourite family member.
I made a video for a University class in which I realised I cannot read scripts.
I spent some time looking at the The Modern Life, tableware of the 1930s – 1980s currently in The National Gallery of Victoria
I didn’t finish a book in September which is a bit of a weird feeling.
Spent 5 hours on a Jetstar flight to arrive safe and sound in Bali. Then went and had a big family dinner at a Indonesian ‘Wurung’ (small family-owned business).

August was pretty fantastic. I spent my time doing the following;
– Mario kart tour of Tokyo, Japan.
– Seeing my friend who I last saw in Bolivia four years ago!
– Having brunch with my Uncle and Aunt.
– Spending the day exploring The NSW Art Gallery and having great coffee & cake with my favourite gal pal!
– Having a Twitter meet up & winning $10 on a scratchy.

I recently got to go see“Puffs Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School Of Magic & Magic” which is written by Matt Cox. It was a play that outshone my expectations, I Neville would have thought I’d see something Harry Potter related until the Cursed Child comes out later in Melbourne in 2019 (sorry not sorry Sydney.)
If you’re lucky enough to be in New York City or Melbourne (both the apparent best cities in the world if they’ve got Puffs) and you wanna see Harry Potter from a Hufflepuff’s view? Check. Out. PUFFS!
If you’re a [former] glasses wearer like me, you’ve probably thought about Lasik Eye Surgery. Lasik (Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis but lets keep it short) is essentially a correction of your eye. It reshapes the inner cornea so that you can focus more clearly with vision. It’s been around for ages and has thousands of studies. Feel free to go check them all out, or if you’re like me just google “lasik gone wrong” – actually please don’t do that.
If you’ve been thinking about going and booking in to get your eyes done, Heres what you need to know about Lasik.
Melbourne is one of my favourite cities, I’m obviously biased because I also call it my home (for right now.) I’ve lived in Melbourne since 2010, and I love when people are in town so you’re are able to show them things you normally miss out on! Here’s what I recently did on a day out!
I’ve recently started getting into Podcasts more and more. I do like Audiobooks – in fact, that’s why I have a monthly subscription to SCRIBD (think Netflix but for books. That link will get you two months reading free!)
I feel I can commit to 4-5 hours of a podcast, but not an Audiobook. I guess it’s the ability to focus in and out. Like how I can binge 6 hours of Brooklyn 99 on Netflix, but not commit to a 1-2-hour movie.
Here’s a list of podcasts that I recommend getting you through that next 45-minute doctors wait, while you’re waiting for a friend or the next trip you’re taking – whether it be a night bus or long layover at the airport.
Not all of them I liked, which I’ll elaborate on – and some I loved. Be aware, Sub Category is just the term I’ve put in to shorten “what I believe it’s all about a sub category” not what it might be.
Podcasts can be listened to on Apple Podcasts, Google Play and Spotify. All links (no affiliates) take you to their main website.
